“When you think about pain, and you think about misery. It’s all in the mind.” TIME magazine named him one of the "Top 100 Most Influential People in the World." Men's Fitness hailed him as one of the fittest men on the planet. He is also an internationally recognized endurance athlete and NY Times bestselling author. Among his many accomplishments, he has run 350 continuous miles, foregoing sleep for three nights. He's run across Death Valley in 120-degree temperatures, and he's run a marathon to the South Pole in negative 40 degrees. We are going to be talking about finding your passion, changing your relationship with pain, Dean mentions some insane stories about his runs, and finally, the unique diet that he uses.

Some questions I ask: (04:08) what would you tell college students that want to focus solely on the money? (6:00) What advice would you give to someone that is struggling to find their passion, I am curious as to how you found out that running was your life’s purpose? (09:02) What is the thing that has impacted you the most from running such long distances? (16:24) How do you think that a regular guy like me that goes running every once in a while, or a regular college student could build this discipline over the mind and this control over the body? (20:50) Do you think that this focusing on the pain could help people that might be going through emotional pain? (24:27) if you had a billboard for the whole world to see, what would you put in it?
